1. Which rooms?

Because of their versatility, Roman Shades can be used in just about any room. You can mix and match different colors and fabrics to the individual design requirements of just about any space. Roman shades can be made to provide a cozy, homely feel in residential spaces or provide a sleek, tidy modern finish to professional settings like offices.

2. Bathrooms and Kitchens

It is generally not a good idea to use anything with traditional fabrics in potentially damp rooms like kitchens or bathrooms as the humidity can cause dust and mold to build up.

3. Sun damage

In just about any window dressing, direct sunlight can cause fabrics to deteriorate so while the dressing looks fine from the inside, the colors may have worn when viewed from the outside. For maximum longevity, blackout linings are generally favored. The lining acts as another layer of filter between sunlight and the fabric which helps prevent fading.
